Track polar bears on the web

03Dec07

For one year, WWF-Canada is tracking six female polar bears with cubs in Canada’s Hudson’s Bay region.  Collars on the bears’ necks record their position and beam the information back to scientists via satellite.  This research allow for regular updates about how the bears behave in their Arctic environment and to determine how they may be affected by climate change.  The bears’ movements are mapped out on this website.
